Are you gay? Are you single?

Have you done any self portraits?

Yes I have done self portraits. Two are from dorsal views. But Naked is a tad more daring.

Do you do commissions?

This is the most frequently asked question I get. Yes, I do commissioned pieces. Pricing depends on what type of commission is being requested. I work almost exclusively with pastels on pastel paper. For portraits or where you would like the work to look like a specific person, I would need a professional quality 5 x 7 photo to work from. If you are seriously interested in having me do a commissioned piece for you, feel free to contact me to get the ball rolling.

What is the difference between an original and a print?

An original is the actual artwork that I've painted or drawn. They tend to sell very quickly. However, I offer limited edition, signed and numbered Giclée prints of most of my originals.

Do you have prints of <fill in the blank>?

If you don't see an Add To Cart link for it then it's not available. If it's an original you're looking for, and its listed as "Available Soon," that means it's not available now. But if you want to know as soon as it IS available, subscribe to my online Newsletter.

Can I use and modify your artwork for personal signatures to use in email and on message boards?

I have no problem with the use of my artwork for this purpose, as long as it is for personal, non-profit use and the resulting image includes my copyright and the url to my online studio, www.studio1088.com.

Have you considered, or do you already have a drawing of <fill in the blank>?

This is one I get asked a lot. I'm always open to suggestions. But I can only draw what my heart allows me to draw. If you have an idea for a painting you'd like to see me do, by all means contact me and suggest it. But please don't get upset if your idea isn't to my liking. There's not much I can do about that.

Can I have a particular number of a limited edition print? Can I buy different prints with the same number?

If there's a particular number of a print you want, just ask. If it is available, I am happy to sell it to you.

What form of payments do you accept?

I accept credit cards (American Express, Visa and MasterCard), US or International money orders paid in US funds, and personal checks drawn on US banks. For first time buyers paying by check, there will be a 10 business day holding period for it to clear prior to shipping.

Do you have a brick and mortar gallery that is open to the public?

No, I do not. My online studio is my main venue for displaying and selling my artwork. Though from time to time my artwork is on display at public galleries.
